75 instrument panel diagram?

Just picked up a '75 W115 300d here in Northern California for 300.00! Its all there and looks great but start up procedure is different than my other cars. Does anyone have an owners manual that I can review for starting procedure along with diagram of differentgauge lights, knobs, etc? Car did not come with owners manual -thanks!

a 300D should start up normally. Turn key, wait 30-40 sec if you have loop plugs and then turn the key the rest of the way to engage starter. Also turn the idle knob all the way counter clockwise on cold starts. This knob is located directly under the speedometer.

300D's dont have a pull knob like the W115 240D or 220D etc...

Helpful information, thanks! Did you upgrade your 115 to the fast glow system or is it stock?

I installed the fast glow GP's and wired in a GP relay out of a W123 turbodiesel. Search on the forum and you can find my thread with pictures.

Did this upgrade make a big difference in start up?

oh yes, a big improvement . 5-10sec vs almost a minute with the loop plugs.

Hey, just picked up primary and secondary fuel filters and noticed no primer pump??? Is starting up difficult after fuel filter change? Did I miss something?

from a little research, it looks like primer pump mounts to IP, sometimes canister on the '75 300d - out to car again to check -

$300! That's $1 per litre of displacement! Anyway, the owner's manual for your car is here:

Amazing! Thank you for this! Owners manuals are often not read and they are full of some very good "need to know" info -this was a great gift, thanks Katia!
