on my 76 300D, the original primer on the filter was shot. I took off the plug on top of the lift pump, inside looks like a spring loaded check-value but the same as the bottom of the new style primers replaced it and it worked great. Since the primer is spring loaded and it's indented at the top, I use a big screw driver to prime, no problem there. I replaced the old primer with copper washer and ended up with cleaner looking bay.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
