300SD instrument light #
Does anyone know what type of bulb they use on the "stalks"?
Thanks. I've searched and turned up nothing.

I'm referring to the small bulbs that light the instruments. They are removed from the rear by rotating a quarter turn and are at the ends of 2 "stalks" .
Really small odd looking bulbs

Not sure but it may be
OSRAM 1.2W W2x4,6d 2721 524.887 These were either for my Land Rover or my 81 300SD; seems like they were what I used to replace the lighting behind the ac controls in the SD. You can find them for sale easily on the internet. Hope this helps.

I actually found some at Sears automotive. I love the way the instruments are lit from the front rather than shining through the gauge faces.
