Does anyone know what type of bulb they use on the "stalks"?

I'm not familiar with the stalks you refer to.

I'm referring to the small bulbs that light the instruments. They are removed from the rear by rotating a quarter turn and are at the ends of 2 "stalks" .

Really small odd looking bulbs

These were either for my Land Rover or my 81 300SD; seems like they were what I used to replace the lighting behind the ac controls in the SD. You can find them for sale easily on the internet.

I actually found some at Sears automotive. I love the way the instruments are lit from the front rather than shining through the gauge faces.
