What year CCU in 85SD
I replaced the dash, fixed the vacuum pods & leaks. The blower works but no heat, AC compressor or change in where the air blows. There was a beautiful 83SD at the yard & I'm going to see if he'll let me strip it for a decent price. Will the 83SD CCU work in the 85SD?
(Unfortunately the grey seats were gone) The car was obviously garage kept until it got hit & relegated to the yard. What a shame.

If the buttons are in a horizontal row it is ACC III and will interchange. ACC II has a vertical column of buttons and the "evil servo." ACC I is manual climate control, rare in USA.

I have a CCU from an 89 126 (forgot which) that has horizontal buttons but doesn't fit. I has 14 pins where the harness connects and my 86 has 12 pins. All of the smaller switches are the same ie sunroof, emergency flashers etc. I hope the yard doesn't crush the 83 before I get back there.

There are two different CCU units with the horizontal buttons. One has a narrow, clear button for the auto fan speed mode, and the other has a button that is the same size and style as the high and low buttons. I don't know if there are any other differences between the units, though.
