very nice 190d, especially the body. someone should buy it and once the engine is gone put a 602 or a 603 in there

Nice,

I'm currently high bidder, although the reserve has not been met,,,

I don't know what you have the reserve set at, but if it's close to teh buy it now price, IMHO you will probably continue to own the car. Nobody has any money to spend on cars nowadays.

A quick check on craigslist shows a 1993 190e for $2500 around here and and 1993 e320 for $3500.

I know you got alot in maintenance, but it's definitely a buyers market for automobiles.

Good luck with your sale. I, obviously will be keeping anm eye on it.

I did put it up in the section for cars that are for sale, but no one seemed to blink an eye

It is a tough market out there right now, but with gas prices where they are, and the rarity of a 5 cylinder diesel 190 with a 5spd (and the mpg it gets), especially considering the shape this car is in, I think it will give the right buyer every bit of $4500 in value, and much more than that in the long run when you consider the low cost per mile driven.

To OP, I sent you a private message, if you'd be interested in trade.

I miss my old 190D horribly.

Does the 2.5L engine have a turbo in the 190 model?

Is the AC run by the very needy Nipondenso system? If so, only MBZ rebuilds can handle R134 reliably, or blow up withhin 2 months. I went through that already with my 190D with the 2.2L. Was convinced to convert to 134, and the pressure was so great it busted the bracket on my alternator, not once, but twice!!!!
