Brake Vibration Basic Questions
1991 300D. There's very noticeable brake vibration when braking at moderate to higher speeds. BUT I cannot feel the vibration at all in the steering wheel or the pedal. Is it a fair assumption that my problem is with the rear brakes?
I replaced the front pads and rotors recently (Pagid and Balo). The previous owner replaced the rear pads and rotors at 69,000 miles; it now has 95,000. 26,000 miles seems kinda soon for the rears, but who knows? Thanks.

it could be in the suspension system also... a pulsing warp on rotors my cause just enough drag to shimmy the weak bushings in your control arms...

If it was mine I would Jack the Car, remove the wheel and take a look. And, that would include the fronts.
What method did you use to set the end play on the Fronts?

If it were in the front, would I feel it in the steering wheel?

Rule of thumb
Vibration in:
* Hands and feet is front end. * Butt and back = rear end.. .

Nice rule of thumb that - and simple to remember when you're assuming the correct driving position!
