Will Pay for Help

I think my '85 300D has a transmission vacuum issue and I think someone before me did some vacuum rigging. I want to get this figured out and corrected but am getting really confused between reading posts and looking in manuals. I know peoples time is valuable and I am willing to compensate anybody who can call me and help me with my problem. Their is nobody in my area that knows these cars better than the members here in my opinion. Thats why I'm turning to you for help. My number is 570-499-1267. Thanks

Tell us more about the problem first (before you reach for your wallet!)

And be sure to find Steve Brotherton's post/s about setting the vacuum relationship/s.

What he really needs is a picture of the vacuum setup on an 85 300d so he can mimic it. I don't have a picture of mine.

Aren't there pics in a sticky ....or once was ?

He needs pictures of the setup with a vacuum amplifier I think.

The secret is this...

You want to look at the '85 California vacuum diagrams for your federal '85 om617. It took my awhile to figure that out. It will make no sense if your looking at the federal diagrams.

Are you saying that for all 85's including federal, that the only correct applicable diagram is the one labeled 85 California?

Here are some diagrams from Peter Schmid.

Yes, my mess looks like the 617 85' CA version not the federal version going by the Peter Schmid diagrams.
