and to get you going, you could pull a lug from other axles, and drive with 4 on every wheel...

I already did that trick last night. There was a vibration and I began to believe I had a cv joint going out, then it got so bad I thought a tire was coming apart, so I got off and I was down to 2 very loose lugs on the rr. It seems this car (which I just got into service a couple of months ago has a beautiful jack and spare but a Chebby lug wrench!

I eventually borrowed a socket and ratchet from a generous man driving a ford diesel truck towing a 42' travel trailer!

I felt like a real dummy without a proper lug wrench!

I'd give you the ones in my trunk, but I'm not in Michigan anymore... Too bad Roy is on the other side of the state!

Find another SD and offer the owner $20 for each lug from each of his 4 wheels.

$20 apiece? Really? Why on earth would they be that expensive? Go to a junkyard, they're probably about 50 cents apiece.

I agree but he's far from home with no knowledge of local junkyards ( I assume) and spotting an SD is not that difficult.

Indeed I guess they may even cost less than twenty dollars a piece.

Maybe they are worth $20 each if it only takes two to hold your tire on your car.
Were they all next to each other ? Or spread out ?

... most tire stores seem to have MB lugs on their shelf. I know costco has them.
