Redid A/C level checks right now.

81F Outside Ambient

Also, looks like after watching it, the aux fan is clicking on when it hits roughly 300psi on the high side and then pressures drop down to about 240psi. Seems to cycle like this every 30secs or so at idle...is that normal?
So I guess the aux fan is working, but its just on low so I guess I never heard it before....As long as you guys said everything looks OK, I think I'll leave everything as it is. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

ok, now it looks like your condenser coil is dirty. remove your aux fan and SOAK the coil with strong detergent and rinse very very well.
at 81F you should not hit 300 with clean coil and working fan clutch. NEXT you need to replace the pressure/temp switch, it's letting the charge get too high before bringing in the fan.

Think twice before you do that. The job is a lot more involved than just replacing the switch. On the subject model, the temp switch is in direct contact with the refrigerant.

this is true. reclamation of the charge would be required to replace this switch, but 300psi is scary high... get that coil clean, and verify your fan clutch is working.
once it's clean, check the pressures again. no way the pressures should hit 300 with only 81F outside...
however, you really need a blower pushing air past the car to properly set pressures.
especially if it's a 134 "upgraded" vehicle...

Do I really need to remove the aux fan to do that? I have a pressure washer near by, that should do the trick right? (carefully of course)

A pressure washer will bend the condensor (and radiator) fins and you will be in worse shape than when you started. I would recommend a can of coil cleaner and a garden hose.

NOT A PRESSURE WASHER!
best to use condenser coil cleaner. I prefer the alkaline cleaners. but at a minimum get good deep cleaning detergent in there and let it soak.
if you don't remove the aux fan, you risk damaging it, and it blocks application of the cleaner...

Gotcha. I'll report back the results once that is done.

Just curious...whats the long term effects of running high pressures? (if its been like this for a number of years without me being aware of it)

for one, it'll not cool at idle, or when it's hot outside. for another, the compressor and condenser get REALLY hot. and parts are subjected to damaging pressures.

I cleaned both the condensor and radiator when I had the radiator out, lots of dirt. If that is not practical, I believe that you can lean the radiator back a few inches without hitting the fan when you are doing your cleaning, and get some spray from the back side.

If you can tip the condenser forward or radiator back, be sure there's no crap between them.

Where's a good place to get condenser cleaner? Can you make it yourself from household chemicals?

HVAC supply shop should have it in stock. I've also noticed that Chinese restaurants have a great cleaner attached to the automatic dishwasher... REALLY cleans coils well.

Just an FYI..

I am getting the impression that the m119 w124 has MUCH better a/c. I can not get anything spectacular out of my TE's a/c. Guess I need to start replacing stuff
