Reference... or reverence? LOL As the owner of one of the world's least desirable 300 CDs, I might opt for the latter.

I am almost certain that car was offered on eBay about two months ago by the same vendor. I THINK it sold, but possibly not. I also could have sworn it had NA headlights that time.

Back then he had this one and a wagon with about the same mileage, I think it came out of the same family. The wagon went into the $20s.

Nice car. Very nice. underside seems dirty for that low of mileage, but who knows where it went. I like the colors. Id buy it if I were in the market.

Yeah, you never know with eBay and shill bidding. By hiding bidder's ID's they've taken away our ability to detect shill bidding. It shows how much they care about it. They only care about their bottom line. I was quite surprised when the decided to hide ID's. According to them everything they do is in the interest of bidder's safety. What BS.

I cannot stand that fender well trim. That is asking for trouble and makes an elegant car look "tacky". . . .
No kidding. Why do people do stuff like that?
Often it's to hide rust or parking lot damage to the fender lips. I always look extra carefully at the fenders of a car with fender trim.

Some dealers added that crap to up the price, more margin in the extras than in the car. I even remember seeing a new 123 with a dealer-installed vinyl top (many years ago)!

That car is way to dirty to pass for 36k miles. I can make my interior out to be nicer than that at 260,00 miles. The undercarriage is very dirty.

You might need glasses, looks pretty good to me. If you can make your 260K mile interior look as good as this, YOU'RE HIRED!

Hmmmmmmm. Mufflers been replaced...weld at center pipe. Mercedes uses bolt up clamps too, not U clamps. New rear muffler looks like the ones I get from World Pac.

And how is it, the seat magazine baskets not sag after 26 years? Oh, I know...it was stored upside down ?

all the muffler rubbers are 2.99 mcparts items... junk.
the fuel cap is from a 124+ something looks odd near the rear bumper underneath... rust or some kind of goop, all chrome lugs both mufflers have been replaced. etc I'm sure.
I'm glad someone bought the car, I'm sad it went for such a high amount, but mileage rules with these kind of cars.
I hope the mileage is accurate.

Oh the set net brackets should be interior colored not black. The guy probably took the nets, and trim from another coupe.

Anyone notice that it does not have a sun roof?

Kali Kar ?

The one thing no one mentioned is, if you look at the engine, the air filter is behind the R/F head light. this means it has the Trap Oxidizer.

I thought from everything I have read, this was only an option in Calif.

The Oregon plate is of the same vintage as the car. they don`t use the orange plates now.

The car may have sold in Calif, and then the OP moved to Oregon early on, or it could have been a swap between dealers looking for a certain color, option car.

The exhaust system could have been replaced, but at only 36K? the center muffler is round, and the one`s I have seen are oval, as the one on my 85.

The net on the back of the seat is black plastic. usually they are the same color as the seat. strange he only shows one side, maybe two different nets?

The air tube connection to the filter housing should be one of those accordian type tubes, not the one shown with the 2 clamps.

Yeah it does look pretty scroungy on the under side for such low milage.
