After sealing the oil separator...

Pics will have to come later, I forgot to take them when I had the cover off. Suffice it to say that now that Ive sealed my separator, I now see wet oil in the flat spot on the air cleaner U-tube connection just below where the gas exit tube exits into the intake. Hope that makes sense.

So I was chasing oil that was all over my wastegate hose and wastegate. Thought it might have been the turbo itself... Maybe not.

Now the car doesnt use a drop of oil, and Im no longer seeing oil on the turbo body or wastegate housing... but again, more wet oil just where the gas comes out of the separator.

I'm tempted to plug some steel wool right in the valve cover vent hose or perhaps in the hole on the nipple where the hose meets the air cleaner. Something to make the aerosolized oil settle and drop out.

Thoughts/Ideas?

lemme know if you figure out something that works.
my car is also oil tight again, but the U tube does have a bit of oil in it... I'm not concerned with that tiny amount, but if you fix it with something STABLE, in the separator, NOT STEEL WOOL!!! it'll flake out, and hit the turbo vanes... bad news.
perhaps a perforated steel sheet corrugated into the bottom of the separator...?

Good point. Yes, needs more baffling I think... Maybe an extra turn on the path of the air to the exit?

If you restrict the Hole in the Vlave Cover the Crankcase Pressure can build up against the Vacuum Shutoff and can push it in the shutoff direction.

When I put my thumb over the Vent Hole in about 7 seconds my Engine started to stumbler like it was going to shut off.

Increasing the crankcase pressure can also cause more Oil to leak out if you have any leaks.
