98 E300 Glow Plug Light On after Start

Filled car with diesel next start wife notice glow plug light was on after some time. Turned car off and back on and it remained on. Drove it a mile and left it off for 5 minutes then restarted it and it remained off. Thoughts?

The car thinks a glow plug is bad.

Is because someone forgot to glow and hit the starter before the light went out and . Even though it was warmed up, it lights the GP light telling you it was started on "cold" GP's.

I like that answer better, plugs are only 3 years old. Wife doesn't drive it much, maybe she forgot, maybe a gremlin that will not come back. Or maybe I'll have to do some work. We'll see.
