The crush washer is the same for different brands of injectors; it's specific to the head that the injectors are going into. You can get them from FastLane (click "Buy Parts" at the top of the page). They support the forum so we try to support them.

The Injector Crush Washers are most often called Injector Heat Shields. Any parts place that sells Rebuilt Injectors also sells the Injector Heat Shields.

The crush washers / heat shields are not specific to the injector. Peach Parts has them.

Did you rebuild the injectors?

Make sure you balance the injectors and test them or you could be installing a bad injector tip or the engine will not be as smooth as it should be. One of my Monark tips was bad from the factory.

The performance is noticeably better with rebuilt injectors.

Maybe I should put my injector balancing rig on the rental list.

I put a set of Monark injectors in my non-turbo 300CD over the winter. I can't believe what a difference they make in performance and economy. Took about 500 miles for them to settle in.

I have Monark's too. Very nice. The operated perfectly from the time I started the car and the difference in performance and economy is exceptional.

Better to buy rebuilt ones or are new injectors the way to go? I am new to the Diesel Benz realm and would love to hear your thoughts!

New ones will cost an arm and a leg. but they come with a warranty usually. Rebuilds are just as good, if done right they will function like new just have the old body. It's all a matter of personal Choice. both options are good

Some time ago I sent a couple sets of injectors to Sean C Watts, he replaced the nozzles and balanced them. Big difference with both cars. I'm a happy camper

Both Bosch and Monark will sell enrirely new Injectors for my 300D.

You will see the Monarks complete Injectors on sale at the variousl parts places more often because the cost less.

C Sewn Watts sells the complete New Monark Injectors as well as just the Spray Nozzles and other injector parts. He also has some Bosch Stuff.

What's the advantage of Monarks vs. Bosch injectors? What causes the performance/efficiency boost?

The quality of Bosch injectors, and nozzles went down since they moved to India.
Also Monarks are better, but better still to use alternate fuels
