RARE 1987 Mercedes 300TD
WOW, talk about a rare car. This 87 Mercedes 300TD has velour interior and orthopedic seats! But for $15K?

Very cool, very rare, very ugly lol.
Thanks for the link. |
How do you figure they're orthopedic seats?

What else would the spinner and toggle slider on the seatbelt receiver be? I'm no expert but thats only the second time I've seen that contraption. I would love to use one that was in working order just to see what it felt like.
|
Yes those are the ultra rare orthopedic seats. For 15k, the paint should be flawless, it should have 60k less miles on it, and the headlight wipers had better work!
I'd go for it, if the price was more realistic in the 5-6k range. |
At least three door dings, bad headlight wiper, low fuel light not on when low on fuel or fuel gauge does not work, cracked grill, missing first aid kit and rotted tires. $5K car at most.

Ooof...brown on brown. The price is optimistic, especially with that color combo. :P
|
somebody will buy it...
and while that engine may indeed handle a trip anywhere... those tires will blow out at the first corner... and there is an alignment problem with the car, left front tire has nearly no tread left on outside edge. ... 80%? moron. |
Yea... Who ever buys it will be driving to the nearest tire store and shelling out $500 for new tires. Notice how they took the pictures in low light. I'm betting the paint is getting pretty rough.
Dolby Sound! ROFL!!! That is just Dolby NR for the tape player. Maybe it comes with working cassettes too? All of min crapped out about 20 years ago. Maybe it is better in person. But, that color combo is awful. Vomit Brown on Vomit Brown.... |
I don't think the med kit is original either... cutter?
and I spy a tool kit in the spare tire well... |
IMHO the cloth is a lot nicer looking then the Tex or leather offered on the early cars. I kind of dig the brown actually.

I like it
new grill, tires, headlight wiper... I bet someone would give 9k for it. Not me however. |

besides the dings, scratches, broken grille, head lamp wipers being in need of service, the LCD on the dash damaged, the interior is clean but OMG god, who ordered that? Brown is ok, but the cloth? Yuk !
Funny that there is a close up of the engine stop with text that says <interpreted> "OMG look at this !!!". The lumbar is labeled as "extra power seats" HUH? My 87 TD has that same system. Doesnt work. Nice clean car, I agree, its better priced at 7-8K. 15,000 is dream land for a far less than perfect example. |
