W126 Highway Speed Cabin Wind Noise
How quiet is quiet? Mine is pretty quite at freeway speeds but I hear air turbulance near the upper corners of the front doors enough to raise my voice on the cell (hands free speaker). Seals are good (window, door, windshield, sunroof).
Any tweaks to the door window frame or seals possible? I read once this may have been done at the factory where the window frame was "leaned on" toward the body, too much was hard on window ops. Maybe mine have "reset" or straightened abit. Any thoughts?

One could try placing varying thickness of paper/cards between the seal and pillar before closing the door. Then try pulling them out. If they pull out easy go thicker and so on. If they come out easy at all, especially as you go thicker, then the door seals are not making good contact.
I have to do this to mine. My 560 SEL is VERY loud. But I have been spoiled by a Mark VIII which has a lot more insulation, so the Benz may never be as quiet.

I have seen a door rubber built up with a bead of RTV. You put a bit of shrink wrap over it & very gently close the door. It molds to fill the gaps. leave it over night to cure. It works.
we have done it to the beer fridge door in the shed as well.
