How to Tie your Diesel Shoes

There is a thread going now about using Locktite when the directions say ' use Locktite' ....
That reminded me of this Ted Talk.... ( a site on Youtube lots of people should check out regularly )...

That little tid bit will come in handy on my 5 and 10k runs.

Thanks!

Same concept as a square knot versus a granny knot.

standard square knot... with dual slip loops...
I thought everyone tied it that way... on my boots, I then tie the loops in another knot... hmmm.

Just like every coin toss comes up "heads." And all bell-shaped curves are flat on one side.

no, same foot. I tie each boot in proper square, then tie the loops in another 1/2 square. keeps them from getting loose during the day.

Half a square is a rectangle.... how does that work ?

So if you had a burning ember drop onto the top of your boot and burn through... you are pretty much screwed as to getting your boots off in a hurry ?

My boots are barely tied to me.... if I take off running from a snake ...they are left where I take off from .... as an offering and diversion for the animal I am getting away from.... has worked great so far.... I am still alive....

two guys are in the woods, when a GIANT bear stands up in front of them and starts charging them... one guy bends down and starts tying his shoes tight. the other guy says, "why are you tying your shoes, you can't out run the bear?" the other guy says, "I don't have to out run the BEAR..."

A whole square is a rectangle. Half a square may or not be a rectangle; could be a triangle.
