Folks, the electro-mechanical fuel shutoff in the 606.912 series are giving me trouble. This on the current 96 and on the 97 that I totaled earlier this year
Everytime I switch fuels from D2 to BioD, or even back, it will not work properly. This causes a CEL, which in the 97 was a real PITA as the electronic tranny was effected.
Oddly, it went away for a while in the 97, and came back when I switched back to D2 in the fall. ?????
I have a new solenoid, the old solenoid from the '97, and am willing to take one apart for further exploration.
has anyone solved this enigma? TIA.
