Broken throttle linkage

So I broke one of the plastic ball sockets on the 300D. Can I get some of the metal ball sockets? I currently have the plastic socket ziptied together.

Seems to me Sixto said you can swap the metal ends from a 61x engine and get away from that fragile plastic. I have one end that's also zip-tied.

That's good to know. My cruise control rod is currently made of safety wire because one of the plastic ends busted.

Joe-

I think I saw a 603 (300SDL) in the U-pullit down by Orlando Airport last Saturday.

Don't wait too long. It was reasonably fresh last weekend. The engine was pretty much there, don't recall the linkage. Is it different on a W124 OM603?

I gave up after I found out from my parts guy that the linkage I need doesn't thread on. So I ordered a new one. :/. Well hopefully it will last for another 24 years
