123 heater blower fan swap?

Ok, there has to be a swap for the blower fan so these things will put out some airflow.... Anyone figured out one yet?

In my CD, I have the center vents flap open, (center pod vac blocked off) It helps quite a bit, and you can still control them of course by simply adjusting the vents themselves, but the air flow is still pitiful compared to just about anything else I've ever driven. The 81 is basically the same way and every one of these I've been in... so I'm leaning toward this being a chronic issue.

Now that I have the A/C working cold, it would be nice to be able to feel it in the back seat....

First, clean the mouse nests out of the duct work. You may not need a fan upgrade at all!

A typical w123 fan can last forever and their output is very high. If you have the dreaded automatic CC system rather than manual, I would be very suspicious of the CC. It may not be the fault of the fan at all, but of something in the system.

My 1979 280CE blows very strong through all vents, it can be very loud on high too..

I suggest you look into the ACC system, it might not be powering the blower to max speed when it should be.

When messing with the HVAC system, check to see if there is a strip fuse bypass/retrofit. May prevent a fire in your fusebox...
