I forgot to say I heard back from the dealer and the classic centre in Germany and guess what?

They have no plans at the moment to make any new parts - quelle surprise

So if you need this front planet assembly my top tip is to find a second hand box - good luck.

Here's another last comment!

I've been ripping apart a second 722.118 transmission I've got making photographs for another thread (http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/304903-722-118-automatic-transmission-rebuild-monster-diy.html) and I found some worn splines on the centre planetary system splines!

So we see that nothing is sacred!

(All of the splines on this gearbox type are susceptible to wear - particularly when mated to a diesel engine)
