97 300 instrument cluster lights

I was driving my car last night and as I was looking at my radio (illuminated), it suddenly went dark, along with all of my climate control lights and gear shift, window switch lights and instrument cluster. The digital odometer still lights up and says faulty light bulb. Seems like its more than any one light bulb to cause everything to go out at once.

any suggestions? (I searched the forums and didn't see this problem)

I would suggest checking all the fuses associated with the cluster lighting to make sure they are not blown. I would also take each one out, and use electronic contact cleaner to insure that they are all making contact. When I first got my car from the prior owner, a number of bulbs in the cluster and gear shift area were blown, but it did not affect any of the nearby bulbs that were still lit.

I've had one interior courtesy light go out that effected most of the others in my 99. Not easy to check when they are all out. I'd prob start with fuses too.
