1. installing a crappy filter is irrelevant if if your old one is plugged to the point to not allowing the engine to run. If you're woried, do a 2nd change to a good one soon. At least the car will be running.
2. Regularly change the filters. 3. Keep at least 1 set of filters in the trunk. Install when it is time and replace at your earliest convenience. 4. Don't run garbage like ATF through your beautiful Benz. ATF has changed as had fuel and ATF does not help. A little probably won't hurt but there is not a good reason to burn it. 5. Read the various available lubricity studies and you won't use power service.

RBM Buckhead, the local stealership, wanted $10 for the two O rings. What a rip. I am headed down to Pep boys.

OK, replaced the O rings today. Pep Boys charged me a total of five cents for both rings. So let's see if this checks the weeping from the top of the bolt. Also the surging.
