pencil type glow plug extractor

I was searching ebay and came across this glow plug extractor for OM60X (ebay item 370517718274)
anyone seen this ? How does this work ? does this work ? |
it looks like a tool that threads onto the terminal of the glow plug, then bottoms out against the head to pull the plug when it's carbon seized. I've not had any with difficulty in removal yet, so I cannot comment how needed it would be.
