no, if you look at SUV's with dual evaporators, the rear is always on an expansion valve. the front has the tube. it's nearly impossible to have dual evaps without at least one expansion valve...

If at all possible can you flip the holder over where the arms with the slots are at the bottom instead of the top? That is how the oem unit for the Sanden compressor is built.

I meant to say another TXV John. Seems like a lot of searches for "OT" or "TXV" turn up references to those systems. I've got other niggles to address before I do anything that crazy Run some aluminum or reduced barrier lines to the back of the car, a small evaporator/blower/TXV. Drainage... Just something to think about.

Anything's possible Jim although it would require a complete re-engineer and fabrication of what I have now. I tried fitting it that way but the big "plate" that's now on the bottom got in the way of the lines.

I'm going to build a tensioner like you suggested and hope for the best! Just the friction of the adjusting bolt isn't cutting it.

I didn't run the AC for the 120 miles home although I was tempted to throw that switch
