Resetting the W123 trip meter.
 

Tonight it will be time for me to reset the trip meter on my w123 I just got...

I am sure it is simple, and I normally would just fiddle with knobs until I figured out how to reset it.

Well I know these w123 have a rep for broken odometers, and as far as records indicate, this one has been working for 326k miles +/-. So I would like to not guess, and hopefully avoid breaking anything.

Push the left knob in, don't do it while moving.

...and be prepared to lose your dash lights.

If you do, you can rotate it. It's also the rheostat control for dash intensity.
