I'm not 100% on this one - and I'm not at home so I can't check - but I thought it was the same bulb as in the rear number plate lights.

It looks like this I think

That link doesn't work - I can't wait to see if I remembered it right or not! (Probably not from the description)

Army, the bulb you linked to is not the right one. It is a very uncommon bayonet type bulb, which usually have 2 round pins sticking out but this bulb, instead of pins has two 1/8" long narrow "blades" instead. I went to Autozone and they didn't have any. I took the burned out bulb, broke the glass and soldered on a pig tail 12 v bulb I have in my parts pin. Fixed!

Solder in a red LED with a resistor, and never change that bulb again. Same goes for all dash indicators and switches on my car.

Why red? The window switches have LEDs in them from the factory.

560 ohms is the resistor to use on an LED in a 12VDC system. Its valid for both red or white LED's.

Oh well - sorry about that - like I said I'm not at home at the moment. The memory gets foggy...

Nope, they're tiny bulbs. Also, all the switches in the dash like the sunroof, defrost, etc all get their light from a central hub mounted on the firewall. Off of that one bulb is a series of fiber optic lines running to each switch and giving it light. Getting it all back together after removing the dash is a PITA...I replaced all of my dash LEDs with these:
