Got some new shoes on the 300D. Refinished Centras with 205/55/16 Continental DWSs. Rides like one of those beds they have at Westin hotels -- soft but supportive. ;)

what are the wheels from?

I think the Centras were made for the W126s primarily. I'm not sure if they were a dealer option or just aftermarket.

Very nice. Always thought about centras on a W123, never saw it before.

I always thought that style Centra was used on the W126. at least that is the only models I saw it on back in the 80`s.

I have a set I bought off e-bay about 10 yrs ago. still out in the barn in their boxes. mine are just plain aluminum. the majority of those were chromed, and usually pealing.

they really look good in your W123. Did you have to use spacers? or did they just bolt on?

No spacers. ET 23 was a perfect fit. These used to be polished aluminum with chromed stars on the center caps. The refinishers didn't think these would polish well because time had left the surfaces uneven. So we went with standard MB silver paint and they were able to peel the chrome remnants off the stars and put about six hundred coats of gloss black paint on them. I toyed with color matching but didn't think that was right for a W123.
