300CD melting fuse #8

position 8

I am also smelling hot wiring inside.

compressor is about 1 yr old, but this issue only
happens when I try to run a/c.

I have heard about problems with the CCU starting fires......
could this be it?

82 300cd

P/S..............have I really been gone this long?

I leave Monday night for North Carolina.

FYI for other members:
It sounds like the blower brushes are worn down = drawing to many AMPS.

check the blower fuse. That is prone to overheating, even catching the paper inside on fire.

MB has a reroute kit for that one.
