Low idle/stumbling
Ever since the weather shifted to warmer climates, my '82 300sd starts up quickly in the usual manner but does not want to hold an idle. Later when warm, it will on occasion stumble and die when slowing down to brake/stop or stumble a little at idle. Rack damper was adjusted months ago, valve adjustment was recent along with new injectors etc. I did remove cruise control linkage arms which may have affected throttle position . . . any thoughts?

What is the idle speed set at?
Perhaps you have an Air leak some where or your Fuel Supply/Lift Pump is Failing. Another possible is the Fuel Pressure Relief/Overflow Valve is not holding pressure like it should at low Engine speeds. Trouble shooting details will be found some where in the below links: DIY Repair Links http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diy-links-parts-category/ http://www.peachparts.com/Wikka/DoItYourSelf
