uodate

update: rust isnt as bad as i thought, the "rust spots" under the rear glass are actually splits in the metal. the p.o. mentioned to me in the mid 90s they had body work done, the car was hit in the rear quarter, creasing the metal under the window. ill take the window out, and fix the body work. floors are solid. ill take some pics of the underbody, i know what a factory 240 was supposed to look like now.

the AC works perfectly, as does everything else (except the oil gauge keeps sticking). heres some photos, my only question is should i do the body work to slow down the rust? or just drive it? i plan on keeping it to 1000000 miles.
I'm slightly jealous. I bought my 240D from the same area for $950!
