87 300td SLS reservoir locations?

In my quest to find pictures of the various SLS components, I noticed that the reservoir is in-between the PS pump and the ABS unit for some (mine plus some others on the forum) but on others (that nice brown/brown cloth one on ebay) it is between the ABS unit and the fender.

Anyone know why?

And more importantly does does this mean parts for one style are harder to find?

Also, how does the reservoir mount in the first variation I mentioned? There is some sort of shield-bracket on top to protect it from hood but it doesn't seem like that's how it mounts...

The bracket on top is how the old style one mounts, there's a grommet on the bottom it sits in as well so all the bracket does is keep it in. The newer fender style one is easier to find used since it's on the gasser wagons.
