tired of replacing headlight lens glass
I've got the DOT style square headlights, yes they suck for light output, yes I'm keeping my open for Euro's etc..
But in the meantime, anybody aware of plastic lenses that I can put on, or housing assemblies that come with plastic lenses so I can at least take a rock in the face without having to replace another lens?? I'm going through about 1 per year and I am getting really tired of it.

Xpel
Put a plastic coating over the glass. I use Xpel and haven't had any problems since. I put it on the Euro headlamps of my '87 300D and the (non-wiper) trim panels underneath as well as the under-bumper fog lights on the '96 E300D. Going on 3 years old, still clear and undamaged. I'm sure it will eventually yellow but it can be peeled off and replaced. There are other brands, too, just make sure whatever you get is thicker than food wrap.

Laminix is another brand to consider.
