1983 W126 power window problem
After driving along a bumpy (paved) road, the drivers side front and passenger side rear windows would no longer work. I checked the fuses, and the one that says in the fuse box lid is for the 2 windows that still work is blown, and the one that says it is for the 2 that dont work is still fine. The logical conclusion is that the fuses are mislabeled, but does anyone have a suggestion of where to look for a failed part? I have pretty much zero ability to do electrical diagnostic work, but 99% of electrical problems I have had with other cars I figured out by asking people what caused a similar problem on their car and looking there first.

It's the fuse
Most likely It's the fuse. On My 83 240d the drivers front and passengers rear are on one fuse and passengers front and drivers rear are on the other.
One fuse two windows across from each other. Jon J

ok, bumpy road, and the fuse blows. my suggestion is to open both doors then change the fuse, then see if they work. then jiggle the drivers door open and closed repeatedly, while lowering and raising the window... likely you have a bad wire in the door jam bellows, shorting out the fuse, and the bumpy road made it contact.

Use only Fuses that have a Ceramic Body.
