Install a pressure gauge between the lift pump and secondaryfilter so you can monitor the condition of the filter and change it before it clogs to a no start condition.

No way to completely avoid condensation happening in the tank....but keeping it ' fuller' on average as compared to ' emptier' would reduce it...

This is the most direct and correct answer, and the only one to address the difference between a bio agent and an additive like Startron. Biobor, biokleen etc kill the little nasties but do not dissolve them in the fuel, so you can expect to have to replace fuel filters pretty regularly after adding it, depending on the severity. Startron actually dissolves the buggers into the fuel and allows it to be burned off and passed through the filters, but can make the fuel appear darker than usual if it's a bad infection. There is a distinct difference between these two types of products and the answer to the op's question almost entirely rests on this variable.

But I thought if I ran a tank or two with startron I would have to carry extra filters because it will cause them to become clogged.
