How can it cost $2 more when the feedstock is waste and the processing equipment is nothing more than a glorified water heater!? Ridiculous!

I think they charge $2 more per gallon because they think they can get away with it. Since they are the only seller of biodiesel in the area, they are probably going to raise the price until demand decreases.

Ain`t that the truth. In anything, the people that want to make it happen, will. the one`s that don`t, then complain about the one`s that do.

The important thing to remember is you never make money at these schemes by selling product. The only way to make any real money at it is to recruit people beneath you. If you're good at that, you might stand a chance. Unfortunately the mathematics of it mean the first person in a particular area usually makes out pretty well, but each new person recruited has a worse and worse chance with it. Most people who join pyramid sales schemes end up disappointed and stuck with a bunch of inventory and literature they had to buy out of their own pocket. YMMV.
You are right, and have the right to believe what ever you want.
who am I to say you are wrong.

Have you ever taken a look at the corporate structure of any large co, or corp.? Now there you will have a true pyrmid structure. lot of people at the bottom and a few at the very top making the big bucks.

Oh, sure. But making money in those corporations doesn't depend on recruiting people to work below you and give you a cut. And they don't tell you you can hire on as a sales clerk and eventually be as rich as the CEO.

B99 is still $3.99 just 175 miles south I don't know... Come fill some drums and sell it up there for $4.50 or $5.

Today I checked the biodiesel pumps to see "Biodiesel No Longer Available" and the last price at nearly $6 per gallon! No more biodiesel for me, I guess.

Hmmm............Product is the only way to make profit. People use products. People sell products. People pay for products.

Franchises...........open more outlets. More people sell products. (Yes, even Ray Kroc founder of the franchising concept and made McDonalds huge, battled many who said it was illegal. Now franchises are the largest concept going. Oh, I forgot...you will need a couple million before they will even talk to you.)

The author of the article you cited, "lost" money for 5 years in a business that literally only requires an annual renewal fee to maintain, and quit. He makes money now from "donations". Hmmm......

Amsoil and other distributorships have been around how many years? How much product do they sell? How many people buy their product? In how many states and/or countries? You mean to tell me that all of the state chambers of commerce and attorney generals in those governing factions simply overlooked it?

There are many brands and businesses mentioned here. I try to put the sponsors of this forum first because they are paying for it. But I don't see a need to slam other businesses because of not understanding their marketing design.

Sorry to the OP for going on a tangent.
