How long is a 617

How long is a 617 in inches? from the front of the fan to the back of the block/Flywheel?

It is exactly 4" longer then the 616 assembly

I have two 617 in the garage. One wrapped and covered up, one in my W123. So I will give you the best measurement I can come up with and that is between 35 and 36 inches, from front of fan to flywheel face.

Like I said in a previous post, the 617 is exactly 4" longer then the 616.

I dont know how long a 616 is..... I can tell you about a 603 if I have a chance to go out and measure. thats the limit of my experience. as long as it's about 35-37 inches. It's fine. Now I have to find one...

This is what I got when I measured a 617.952. From the very front of the fan, approximately 32 inches to the end of the intermediate plate and approximately 32.75 to the end of the starter.
