ok... here's one. The cap for the window washer tank in the 81 300d works perfectly in the 99 e320....

Loose your 61x oil cap, put the fuel cap on. May look a little different but fits perfect.

when i got my 300SD the metal oil cap (stamped OEL) was on the gas cap and the gas cap (also metal oddly enough) was on the oil cap...weird

Wow. I think My gas cap says OEL on it....though Diesel is OEL really... kinda funny

Thats why all the MB diesel engines are label OM-xxx. It means oil motor.

The old style oil cap is in line with the valve Cover when it is tightened down.

The old style gas cap when used on the VC will be at an angle when tightened down.

The rubber seal under the gas cap is blue and a little thicker than the black one used on the oil cap, and will make the oil cap fit a little tighter.

a brand new g wagen has a few parts that have 123 part numbers......the sun roof webasto metal trim, rear back up lights are same as w123 wagons and a few other tinny bits.

Linkage clips....hood stars and the rear kicker a lot of people dont know: w124 wagon hatch struts fit w123 wagons just take the plastic cap off the end that goes inside the roof area ;P they are a lil stronger though so dont be shocked when the hatch opens like its weightless.
