Spring compressor for rent or borrow in the seattle area?

I've looked into renting via the members of peachparts, but it seems most of the members who have coil spring compressors are pretty far away, at which point it doesn't seem cost effective to pay the shipping.

I am hoping someone in the seattle area might be of help before I take the plunge and by the 'el paso' made tool on ebay.

thanks

Cost effective compared to the $185 a Generic Clone type Spring Compressor costs or compared to the cost of a possible injury?

Another way is to buy one and take a chance you can sell it on eBay or to someone and recover enough money to make it worthwile.

Homemade Spring Compressor
Homemade Spring Compressor

I made one that pulls the Spring up into the Spring Perch and also another with hooks so it could be used on other Vehicles besides Mercedes; see post #11.
Trying to compile thoughts on coil spring compressors

It's cost effective if members would make a bit of a plan, in advance, and the compressor goes from member to member rather than pay for the expense of the return trip.

Unfortunately, nobody makes any advance plans...........they all want it NOW.

The spring compressor can be shipped in a USPS Flat Rate Box for $11 each way to any U.S. address. If that, and the cost to rent the compressor is not worth the savings then someone needs a lesson or two in math.

yeah, that sounds good. Could you PM me the details, including the insurance and deposit and your rate per week?
