W123 Shift Linkage (Automatic)
I think I bent my adjustable linkage arm to the trans.
Can someone please post a photo of a good one?... ...or draw one? For reference, the one below does NOT help! Last edited by jt20; 08-03-2011 at 02:29 PM. |

I'll keep an eye on this thread - and if toomany doesn't beat me to it I'll crawl under the car for you tomorrow!

Wow - you're slipping toomany - what took ya so long? (hee hee => I refuse to join in with that smiley thing - this is the closest I've ever got to needing one!)

Thanks, Fellas. Mine is a bit different, but pretty similar shape.... or, at least, now it is.
It looks like there should only be 2 slight bends at each end, right? |

Apart from the 90 degree bends at either end - far ends - mine seems to have just the one squiffy bend in the middle. Sorry I don't have a 722.3 shift linkage to compare...

1985 300TDT US spec.
There seems to be an issue with the linkage hitting the trans. The linkage definitely is meant to have a slight 'C' shape. Does the linkage go concave up, or concave down? |
