Ignition won't start car
 

86 300sdl ignition will turn however you don't get the spring feel of it going into the start position. The starter will not crank. The instrument lights do come on as well as the other electrical components. This has happened in a very difficult location (2 hrs from home) and I really need to find a way to get this going any help would be welcome

Should be a junction box in the engine compartment in which you can jump the terminals to energize the starter. Don't know where it is on an 86 SDL but I'm pretty sure it's there having read about it on here before. Probably on one of the fender liners.
