Question Weird vibration at 50+ MPH...

Lately my '83 300SD started vibrating but only under certain circumstances, namely taking a curve on the freeway at 50 or more MPH. If I go straignt, the car is fine and right turns also do not cause any vibration. But on left curves I feel a vibration through the steering wheel... why only left turns? the car does not vibrate, it's only felt through the steering wheel. At slower speeds the vibration diminishes and it stops altogether when I press the brakes. Any light shed will be greatly appreciated!

John is getting at half shafts. They usually make clicking or thumping noises when turning.

You might have something rubbing when the wheels are turned. Look in the wheel wells you might see some rub marks. It could also be tire related. Look them over really well. You can also try switching the front wheel and rears for that matter to see if the noise changes or goes away.

@John: Nope, no odd clunks at turns... It does clunk when I go over an obstacle such as a speed bump though, but not only when I turn. That's due to the guide rod mounts being a bit loose... would that create the left turn vibration though...?
@Biodiesel300D:I haven't checked the half shafts... I did replace a couple of tie rod ends not long ago, bit sounds good to take a look...

The bearings wouldn't have anything to do with this right?
