W123 240D Front Shock Help (Pics Enclosed)
I recently acquired a 1981 240d here from a member on the forum. Upon reviewing all of the records I noticed that it hasn't ever had the front end rebuilt. Over the past several weeks I have been rebuilding it.
Today I was finishing up and checking the torque values on everything. I let the car down from the jackstands and torqued the LCA eccentric bolts. As I was looking at everything and getting ready to take it for an alignment, I noticed that the pass. side shock was not sitting correctly. The driver side was just fine. I have installed sachs bogs front shocks. The top part of the shock is sitting high and I can move the top part with my hand. What am I missing here? They were both set up the same. I have searched the forum but have not found anything along these lines. Thanks for any assistance. Drivers side: Passenger side: |
