How Can I Identify a Timing Chain?

I posted earlier about a bunch or parts I picked up and was wondering how and if you can identify chains. In the parts were two new looking chains and one was in a box marked "200d". They looked almost if not exactly the same and when compaired to the 617 chain they looked close as well. I was wondering if they are basically the same from year to year?

Thanks!

If they are IWIS chains and you have to boxes there should be part numbers on it. If the Links on the Chain are not marked IWIS I would not use the Chains.

It would not hurt to know what Engine you are thinking to use them On.
