temp dial?

hi all,

when i move the temp dial from the locked "MIN" cool setting to just below the "MIN" setting my HVAC goes straight to full Heat...could that be a vacuum pod problem, or a problem with the push-button unit?

thanks,

1983 300SD

Check the wiring to the cabin temperature sensor in the center of the dash (or is it overhead in the SD?). If a wire breaks, the CCU gets no temperature signal and defaults to full heat once you are out of the MIN click-stop.
