Just want to know if any owner here can verify that when you put the key in and turn it, in addition to the glow plug light coming on, the brake, gas and battery light also come on?

On a 1975 I believe the brake light should not come on, and the low fuel light will ONLY come on when the tank is low.

On my friend's 76 300D all of those lamps came on dimly before starting. The lamp test was done by the seatbelt buzzer relay.

FWIW, my battery light is the only one that comes on when the key is turned on. My glow plug light hasn't worked for years, since I swapped out the instrument cluster.... So I would take my results advisedly.
