The central lock line is disconnected in the engine bay..is that not enough?

That's exactly the way mine was. I would lock the car in the morning and find 2 or 3 doors unlocked in the afternoon.

Read the pdf for the trunk lock. I'd worry less about overpressurizing vacuum reservoirs and more about normal operations of the lock. It may not be broken at all, just misunderstood.
