116's are best! So, did you do any other IP modifications? Just asking because there's a lot of "You can't get more power without bigger elements, etc. etc..."

How's the rear end seem to be holding up?

Awesome work

I blew up the stock smaller stock diff 3 times before i put the larger diff from a 450 sel 6.9 with 2.65 gears in it.
stock is a 3.07 ratio with a 1.1L capacity
the diff i put in is a 2.65 limited slip with a 1.3L capacity

What were your 1/8 mile times with the 3.07 or did they bust in the bleach box If you are getting that performance out of that tall gear that's awesome! Don't hurt on the freeway either...

I'm a long time gas hot rodder but IP's intimidate me. These are my 1st diesels...

Sounds like you about perfect performance if it's reliable and streetable. Once I get my SD's sorted a little more I'll probably dig into some performance mods.

I've rebuilt GM hydramatics and I have wondered how much worse an MB auto can be... I used to cram as many clutch discs/steels in the packs that would fit

I'm really hard on all my cars and this thing has been super reliable.

That 1/8th was with the 3.07. I haven't taken it with the 2.65 yet. It feels good though. I can brake boost 5psi before I launch and if I let off a little I can powerbrake and hit 10psi. I guess I'll have to go next time they run.

I parted it out. I wanted the front axle and all the little things for my truck. Locker, gauges, compressor, wheels, tires, lights, winch, etc....
I'm building the f-250 for a trail/ expedition rig. I already got the ttb 50 out and the solid 60 in and next is shortening the wheelbase and custom bed etc....

This is a great pic. That Ford V8 diesel would be a great runner in there.

Just wondering, why didn't you relocate the battery? That would've been the first thing I did before modding the turbo and intake. Seems like it would've freed up a lot of space for plumbing.

I'm planning on relocating my filter to the battery location when I start monkeying with the turbo.

I thought about it but I just didn't feel like running the cable and making a new mount plus loosing more space in my trunk. I already have a alumn aux tank in there. Plus I made it work with it in the stock location. The compressor housing is close but it clears.

Oh and I forgot. This car has 400k on it. I got it off the 2nd owner who only had it a few weeks and never used it. I have all records back to the day it was purchased.

Thats the one good thing about ttb, its like Ford wanted people to go ahead and put real axles in there. About the easiest solid axle swap there is.

As for the Benz, I don't suppose you have a picture of the spacer you took out of the trans? Might be nice for a reference if I ever get that deep in. Nice work on the intake, too.

Meh. It's a cast iron block and head. I could put elc in it but I haven't seen the need.

I'll see if the parts from the bad trans are still around.

If you can't find the part, maybe you can find it on this diagram. Hard to tell whats going on in that diagram, and I can't find a key for those part number, but I'm thinking maybe number 55?
