What are these

Hi all,
I am doing a swap into 88 Toyota 4Runner. Donor is 1985 300D. I have a couple questions about my IP. The item on top of pump is this only for auto trans and can it be removed, and towards the front of the pump on the inside between the pump and block there is a kind of square box with a three wire cable coming from it, what is it and does it need to hook up to somthing ?

First is the vacuum control valve for the transmission second is the throttle position sensor for the EGR computer.

I believe it is the Rack Pisition Sensor.

If your IP has the normal Idle adjusting Bolt setup I do not think the Rack Position Sensor does anything other than pic up the Rack Position (for the EGR operation?).
But, someone who knows more will have to comment on that.
Looks like kerry beat me to the answer.

VCV's are no longer available, so if you don't need that one and its still functional, don't throw it away.
