Another conversion is over

Special thanks to babymog

M 103 going out:

empty bay:

EGR port blocked:

Waste gate actuator replaced with boost controlled one, set to 18 psi (bench), little modification to the engine mount required for proper fit:

OM 606 going in:

Driver side custom engine mount (1/2" steel) is required in order to clear the oil pan:

Vacuum lines, fuel lines, glow plugs harness attached:

The glow plug relay wired:

Main vacuum line modified (extended) - the cheapest of all supplies - $0.50

Throttle cable and bowden cable modified:

Et voila - running. Still without intake manifold.

And finished:

Excuse my ignorance..

I can't believe they put M103's in those things What was that?? 8MPG's?

Are you using transmission mounts as motor mounts? Primary fuel lines looks a tad too short to me.

Jeff is a very nice guy, glad he was able to help you out.

Yes they used M 103 to '94; 10 MPG .
Original G wagen motor mounts.
The fuel lines are fine, enough slack.
Jeff was super nice to me, he help me with tweaking the pump.

I'm fairley jealous

Nice work, should be a much nicer vehicle. I looked at a G-Wagen before buying my Toyota but there were no reasonably priced ones out there. You have what seems to be the optimal conversion. Cheers Dan
